Police announce arrests, confessions in Ain Alaq bus bombings |

| Earlier, a security source told The Daily Star that officials had found bombs similar to those used in the Ain Alaq attack and documents in the apartment of one Syrian national, Mustafa Sayyour, in Achrafieh after he had "confessed to carrying out the bombings."
Sayyour said they had also been planning to conduct attacks against the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the source added.
The source added that police found maps and photographs in the apartment indicating that the suspects had performed surveillance of foreign embassies, ambassadors and Lebanese leaders from the March 14 forces. Also present, the source said, were maps revealing UNIFIL patrol routes.
