Southern merchants say business slow despite UNIFIL |

| Despite the presence in the region of more than 11,000 UNIFIL troops, merchants in some areas of South Lebanon say sales are on the decline - although others report normal activity. "Commercial activity was better in the past, when Norwegian soldiers used to buy stuff in thousands of dollars," Fawzi Zibeh, the owner of a supermarket in Marjayoun, told The Daily Star on Monday.
In Kfar Kila, Hamzeh Maatouk, who owns a military and sportswear shop, said the activity was "ordinary" with respect to the number of UNIFIL soldiers in the region. | Read more in Daily Star
